Habits are easiest to make and hardest to break!
Habits are the activities and decisions we take on a daily basis. These shape our beliefs, thoughts, emotions, behavior, attitude, health and our life itself. Habits mould us into a personality that we portray to the world.
If we learn to transform our bad habits to the good ones, our life will be transformed. Small, repetitive actions that require motivation or effort will lead to incredible change and growth.
Learning and self-improvement are similar to compound interest on our money. The manner in which money multiplies through compound interest, the effects of our habits multiply as we repeat them. The small steps we take may seem to be insignificantly small at the beginning but make a huge difference at the end of a month or a year. Then we would value the good habits and understand the benefits to letting go the bad ones.
There are three layers of behaviour we need to consider to build a good habit. For example, the outcome of change is weight loss, the process is eating health food and the identity is the thought that you want to eat healthy food. Focus only on identity, then it will help you to continuously understand your behaviour.
However, we must not expect to notice major progress after just a short time span because there is difference between what should ideally happen and what actually happens. We must put in consistent effort on a daily and have faith that doing the right thing repeatedly will lead to a major change down the road.
